About Agnes Ndiritu, NP

Agnes has been working as a nurse practitioner for more than eight years. In the course of her work, she has acquired some helpful skills including time management, organizational, and leadership skills. She’s also well versed in several therapy approaches including CBT, motivational interviewing, supportive therapy, and solution-focused forms of therapy.

"After my arrival in the U.S., I trained to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), which I practiced for two years. I then joined a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). While at university during my psychiatry rotation, I started to enjoy my interactions with patients. I therefore decided to pursue further education and work in psychiatry full time. My love for helping those in need is a driving force in my career. My work gives me a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment in life. The need to perfect my skills (if that is even possible) drives me to learn and persistently seek new information."

Agnes was born in a small village in Central Kenya with the sprawling Aberdare Ranges to West and the magnificent Mt. Kenya to the East. Despite growing up surrounded by nature, she is not “outdoorsy.” She prefers to stay indoors and listen to audiobooks and watch anything comedic, while trying not to kill her house plants.
