About Youwen Hu, DNP, PMHNP-BC

Youwen Hu is dedicated to placing people’s needs at the center of care, combining evidence-based medication management with therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, and EMDR. She brings strong interpersonal skills and a sense of humor to work everyday to build trusting relationships with both patients and colleagues.
Youwen holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and PMHNP MSN from Walden University, a BSN from the University of Texas at Arlington, an MSN in Nursing Informatics from American Sentinel University, and a Master of Healthcare Management from Dallas Baptist University. Today she is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over six years of clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, and brings a global perspective to her work, having moved to the U.S. from China in 2007.
Outside of work, Youwen enjoys hiking, swimming, and playing badminton. She finds deep personal fulfillment in helping others, and considers the opportunity to improve people’s mental health the most rewarding part of working in healthcare.
